Advertising Terms and Conditions

  1. "Kanada.com" is Kanada.com Inc. , the company which owns and publishes the Kanada.com website.
  2. The "Advertiser" is the party named who wishes to purchase an advertisng package on Kanada.com's web site.
  3. These terms and conditions shall apply to all advertising orders submitted to and accepted by Kanada.com.
  4. Kanada.com reserves exclusive rights to exclude advertising materials from the Kanada.com web site at Kanada.com's sole discretion.
  5. The Advertiser warrants and represents to Kanada.com that the advertiser is licensed to use the contents of the advertisement or that the Advertiser otherwise has the right to publish all of the contents of the advertisement.
  6. In no event will Kanada.com be responsible for any indirect, consequential, special or economic loss of any kind including without limitation loss of profits, revenue, business, and contracts.
  7. Advertisers agree to only provide materials which are true, accurate, and not confusing.
  8. Advertisers agree to only provide materials promoting goods and services available in or from Canada, or services pertaining to travelling to or in Canada.
  9. Advertisers agree to only provide advertising, information and promotional materials appropriate for a general audience which are suitable to the Kanada.com's target audience which generally are people from around the world who wish to vacation in Canada, work or do business in Canada, buy authentic Canadian goods and services, or immigrate to Canada. Kanada.com will not accept material or pictures which, at Kanada.com's sole discretion, Kanada.com does not feel are appropriate to Kanada.com's format such as but not limited to; pictures or materials depicting sexual situations or nudity, pictures or materials depicting people or animals in demeaning situations, pictures or materials which are demeaning to individuals or groups of people, pictures or materials that are illegal or promote illegal activities. Specifically advertising and information on Kanada.com may not include:
    • Violent content, racial intolerance, or advocacy against any individual, group, or organization
    • Pornography, adult, or mature content
    • Hacking/cracking content
    • Illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia
    • Profanity
    • Internet gambling or internet casino-related content
    • Content regarding programs which compensate users for clicking on ads or offers, performing searches, surfing websites, or reading emails
    • Excessive, repetitive, or irrelevant keywords in the content or source code of web pages
    • Deceptive or manipulative content or website construction to improve your site's search engine ranking by illegitimate means
    • Sales or promotion of products that are replicas or imitations of designer goods
    • Sales or distribution of term papers or student essays
    • Any other content that is illegal, promotes illegal activity, or infringes on the legal rights of others
  10. Advertisers may not display content protected by copyright law unless they have the necessary legal rights to display that content.
  11. Kanada.com advertising fees do not include translation services. For advertisers who need translations of materials, Kanada.com makes available translation services by certified professional translators. Although Kanada.com secures translation services, on behalf of advertisers, only from certified translators, the translations are the property and responsibility of the advertiser. Kanada.com takes no responsibility for inaccuracies or problems with the translations. (Advertisers are welcome to contract translators directly. There are many translation services available through the internet. When choosing a translator you should ensure they are accredited or certified by a credible third party such as a university. We highly recommend not using any of the translation software, or translation websites, available on the internet to generate an advertisement. The grammar of computer generated translations can be very poor and translations may sometimes be unintelligible, confusing or unintentionally misleading.)
  12. Kanada.com will have no liability for any failure or delay resulting from any unforeseen interruptions including technical difficulties of the Internet Service Providers used by Kanada.com.
  13. An advertising term on Kanada.com is for one calendar year, which starts the day after the advertising materials provided by the advertiser first appears on the Kanada.com website.
  14. An advertiser can request that their advertising be removed from the Kanada.com website at any time, however Kanada.com will not provide refunds for unused portions of the advertising term.
  15. All of Kanada.com's fees for advertising are in Canadian Funds.
  16. Tourism support discount - Members of select tourism organization, which Kanada.com recognizes as strong advocates for quality tourism in Canada, receive a 20% discount on their yearly listing or web page package advertising fees on Kanada.com's web site. Kanada.com appreciates these organizations efforts to secure adequate government planning and support to ensure the long-term quality and viability of Canada's tourism industry. This discount applies to the yearly web page and listing fees, but does not apply to fees for advertising changes, translations or other types of advertising on Kanada.com. The select organizations Kanada.com recognizes as effective tourism industry advocates are:
  17. Only those methods of payment specified by Kanada.com may be accepted. The full cost of the advertisement is payable in full prior to the start date/renewal date of the advertising order.
  18. Kanada.com reserves the right to change rates, term and conditions at any time, at Kanada.com's sole discretion, however changes are not retroactive and will not affect current advertising agreements.
  19. Modification to advertising mid-term may result in the advertisement being withdrawn if Kanada.com feels that the changes contravene any of Kanada.com's terms and conditions.
  20. Kanada.com liability for cancelled or refused advertising is limited to refund of any advertising fees, prorated between the time of original acceptance of the advertisement and the subsequent refusal.
  21. PRIVACY
    1. Kanada.com is committed to respecting your privacy and protecting your personal information. This Privacy Statement explains the current information management practices on our website.
    2. The handling of all personal information by Kanada.com is governed by the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA). We are committed to protecting your privacy whether you are browsing for information or conducting business with Kanada.com.
    3. When you visit our website, we will not collect your personal information unless you choose to use and receive online products and services that require it. For transactions with Kanada.com involving credit cards, Kanada.com uses the services of PAYPAL a highly acredited third party electronic transaction service.
    4. Kanada.com does use "Cookies" to make it more convenient for users to move around our Web sites. If you choose, they may be used to 'remember' your password and make it easier and faster to log-in to certain sites. These types of cookies need to be stored on your computer's hard drive. Cookies used by Kanada.com are encrypted to make the information in cookies unreadable to anyone except the Kanada.com website.

    1. Whilst Kanada.com makes all effort to determine the validity of an advertisement, Kanada.com does not endorse any of the services or products advertised, and will not be responsible for any loss or damage.
    2. No submitted information shall be rented, sold, or given away to any third party businesses or individuals by the copyright owner. When placing an advertisement online or submitting an entry to one of our contests, we will never willfully disclose any information about our visitors without first receiving the visitor's permission.
    3. However, since each advertisement is publicly viewed, there is no convenient solution to ceasing malicious individuals and "spammers" from using the information in your ad(s) in a manner that you may not agree with.
    4. Companies which have placed advertising on this site may also collect information about you when you view or click on their graphical advertisement or text links. We do not have control over the collection of that information. You should contact those advertisers directly if you have any questions concerning your privacy and their advertising.
